How to scan a driver's license in Lobbytrack

Instead of inputting visitor information manually, auto-populate the information using the license scanner feature. Visitors in a don't need to wait for the front desk to finish their mandatory data collection. Scan driver's license and customize the data you'd like to collect using the Lobbytrack Lobby App.

Capture License Data Using Built-In Camera

Scanning a driver's license is as easy as taking a picture. Use a tablet running Lobbytrack Lobby App to scan the barcode on the driver's license and the data will be populated on the visitor form automatically. That's it.

Map License Data To Visitor Record

Depending on your needs, you might not want to collect all of the available driver license information. With Lobbytrack's driver's license scanner app, you choose what information you want to collect.

Auto-Populate Visitor Record

Thanks to the powerful auto-populate feature, you and your visitors never have to waste time completing visitor forms. Not only is populating a visitor form faster this way but you're guaranteed that all information is correct.

This tutorial will guide you through configuring driver's license scanning.

  1. Click on Settings in the top right corner.

  2. Scroll down in the menu on the left side of the page and then click on Driver License Scanning.

  3. Click on the blue Configure link.

  4. Enable the setting Show Scan Driver License option.

  5. Scroll down to the field mapping section. You will see that all your visitor form fields are already listed here. Select the driver license field that should be used to auto fill the form fields using the drop-down menu under each of the form fields.

  6. Once you have mapped all the fields, click on the button to return to the settings menu.

  7. Restart the app on the tablet, tap Sign In and you will see a button, Scan License on the visitor form.

  8. Tap the Scan License button and the camera on the tablet will open. Instructions are shown to position your driver license in front of the camera.

  9. When the license is scanned, the visitor form will populate with the scanned data.

  10. You can then continue with the sign in task as normal.
