How to set up and use the Guard App in Lobbytrack

The Lobbytrack Guard app helps secure your facility by providing real-time data on who is currently on-site. You can add your security personnel as guard users in your lobbytrack account and then these security guards can download and login to the guard app on their mobile phones. Through this app you can send alerts to the guards as well. These alerts will keep the guards up to date as visitors sign in and out and immediately notify them if someone on the watchlist tries to register. In the case of an emergency, your security personnel can use this app as an up-to-date evacuation list. This will help them get everyone out of the building safely.

Please follow the steps listed below:

Add guard user:

  1. Login to and then click on the "profile" icon at the top right corner.

  2. You will see a drop-down menu. Click on "users".

  3. Click on the "+" icon to add a new user.

  4. You fill see a pop-up box. Type in the email address for the new user and select the role as "security guard".

  5. Scroll down within the box and fill in the other details for this new user. First and last name are required fields. Once you fill in the details, click on "add" at the bottom of the pop-up box.

  6. Once you add the new user, lobbytrack sends out an activation email to the email address for this new user. They will have to click on the link in the email to activate the user.

  7. Opening the link will not only complete the verification process, but it will also redirect the user to a secure lobbytrack website page. The user will be requested to create and confirm a password on this page. Create a new password and click on "submit".


Enabling notifications for the guard app:

  1. Log in to and click on "settings".

  2. Click on "notifications" in the menu on the left side of the screen.

  3. Scroll down in the list of notifications and look for the "guards - push notifications"

  4. Enable all the notifications that the security guards should receive by clicking on the check boxes next to each one of the notifications.


Logging in and using the guard app

  1. Once the setup is complete, you can ask your security guards to install the lobbytrack guard app on their mobile phones. The app is available on IOS, android and windows. When they open the app, they will be requested to enter the email address with which their guard user profile was created and the password that they created themselves.

  2. Upon logging in to the app, the security guards will gain access to a list of all the visitors inside the building. They can tap on the refresh icon at the top right to refresh the app and get an updated list. They can tap on the alerts icon to see any alerts that they might have missed. They can also click on the send alert option to send an email or SMS notification to all the visitors who have signed in and are inside the building. This feature helps in emergency evacuations.

  3. The app keeps running in the background and continues sending alerts to the guards. Even when they are using other apps. Please take a look at the screenshots added below to understand how the push notifications work.
